I'm not sure "Republicans will believe anything". There's a caveat. Republicans will believe what fits their previous world view. They seem to need a seamless scenario built more upon the need for justification, surety and validation than upon acceptance of fact.

I just have to comment on your response, how do you call a american wearing their country flag a racist? Our American soldiers, such as myself do not put our lives at stake so we can tell Americans they can not wear their conuntry's flag or use their freedom of speech. This is the land of the free where anyone can do what they want. You don't tell athiest they cant practice worshiping the devil on Christmas. And if someone served horse at Ascot in America then its their right and damn you for telling me i can't do it. Its a free country to do eat, wear, speak how I want. You have the same rights as well. Or I could follow your explanation and state, your opinion is discriminating my veiws of my country and your not allowed to speak, if you wish to you have to leave the country!
One word: "Racist" and the parents are supporting the bigotry. The school is correct for saying that wearing these tees on May 5 was incendiary. It's like trying to serve roasted horse at Ascot. The Bobbies just shut the vendor down and told her to take the stall downtown if she wasnted to serve horse somewhere. The tees might have been the "right" thing, but wrong place, wrong time. And definately, on purpose.
Shame on parents for promoting such negativity.
Those students have a perfect right to wear an american flag on any day of the year they choose. If so called Mexican "Americans" are offended by it they are being way too sensitive. The Cinco de Mayo is a Mexican Holiday, It is not racist to be able to show that you love America on that day or any day of the year. It is selfish to think a day is only about Mexicans. The 5th of May exists everywhere not just for Mexicans but for everyone.
Political correctness sucks!!!!!
